Digital Marketing Packages for Small Business in India: What It Really Costs
Most agencies will send you a price list before they ask a single question about your business. That is the first mistake, and it’s usually the one that costs you six months.
That’s the range our engagements fall in, depending on your industry, platforms, and how fast you want to grow. Ad spend is quoted separately.
- Fixed packages are built for the agency’s convenience, not your business.
- The right platform depends on where your buyers actually look.
- Start with one channel, prove it, then scale only what works.
- Below about ₹50,000 a month, there isn’t enough budget to run a channel properly.
- Ask for the plan, the tracking, and a 90-day review before you sign anything.
A story you may have lived
This is an illustrative scenario, not a specific client.
You own a small manufacturing unit near Ahmedabad. Your products are good. Your customers trust you. But growth has stalled, and a friend says, “You need digital marketing.”
Three agencies send you almost the same document. Silver ₹15,000. Gold ₹30,000. Platinum ₹50,000. You pick Gold.
For six months, your Instagram gets 12 neat posts a month. The reports show impressions going up. And the phone doesn’t ring any more than before.
You didn’t make a bad decision. You bought what you were offered. Nobody asked the one question that matters:
For a manufacturer chasing buyers, the answer was never Instagram. It was Google search, LinkedIn, and a website that proves you’re serious. The package didn’t include any of that, because packages are built around what’s easy to repeat, not what your business needs.
Why we don’t sell fixed packages
A package assumes every business needs the same thing. Look at what real businesses actually need:
- Local clinicLives or dies on Google Business Profile, reviews, and local search. LinkedIn would be wasted money.
- B2B service firmOften wins its best clients from LinkedIn conversations and one sharp landing page, with no ads at all.
- ExporterNeeds to be found by overseas buyers through search, a credible website, and AI tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity.
- D2C brandMay need Meta and Instagram first, with SEO coming later.
One package can’t be right for all four. So here is what we do instead:
So what does it really cost?
You deserve a straight answer. Most businesses move through three stages:
| Stage | What it means | Monthly budget |
|---|---|---|
| 1. One channel, done properly | SEO, Google Ads, or LinkedIn, with tracking so every inquiry is counted. Best for testing what brings leads. | ₹50,000 – ₹1,00,000 |
| 2. Two channels together | For example SEO plus Google Ads, or LinkedIn plus landing pages. Best for a steady flow of leads. | ₹1,00,000 – ₹2,50,000 |
| 3. Multi-channel growth | Search, social, AI search visibility, funnels, and CRM follow-up. Best for scaling proven results. | ₹2,50,000 – ₹5,00,000 |
Ad spend (the money paid to Google, Meta, or LinkedIn) is quoted separately from the agency fee, so you can see where every rupee goes.
You may ask why we don’t go lower. Real lead generation needs strategy, content or ad management, landing pages, tracking, and reporting. Below roughly ₹50,000 a month, there isn’t enough budget to run a channel and measure it. We’d rather say that plainly than sell you something cheap that does nothing.
How we decide where you should start
Before we talk about any number, we ask four questions.
- Question 1What do you sell, and who exactly buys it? A procurement manager, a homeowner, and a startup founder behave very differently online.
- Question 2Where do those buyers already look? Google, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, or AI tools they ask for recommendations.
- Question 3How should leads arrive? Phone calls, WhatsApp messages, or form fills.
- Question 4Can your team respond fast? A lead answered after three days is usually a lost lead, however well it was generated.
The answers narrow six possible platforms down to one or two. That’s where your first budget goes.
Start small. Scale only what works.
The smartest way to spend on marketing is also the least dramatic.
Months 1 to 3. We put focus and tracking behind a single platform. The goal isn’t volume. It’s learning which message, audience, and offer actually bring inquiries.
Months 3 to 6. We keep what produces leads, cut what doesn’t, and reinvest into the winner. Budgets go up here, but only because the numbers justify it.
Month 6 onward. We add a second channel, plus CRM and follow-up automation, so growth doesn’t depend on someone remembering to call back.
What a fair proposal should show you
Whoever you hire, even if it isn’t us, ask for these:
- The one or two platforms chosen, and the reasoning behind them
- Exactly what work is done every month
- How leads are tracked, and how a “lead” is defined
- Agency fee and ad budget, stated separately
- A review point at around 90 days to scale, adjust, or stop

How we see it
Digital marketing shouldn’t feel like a gym membership you never use. It should work like hiring a good salesperson: a clear role, visible results, and more investment once they’ve earned it.
Choose the platform second.
Choose the price last.
Tell us about your business
Share what you sell and who you sell to. We’ll tell you where we’d start, what it should cost, and what results to expect, with no package attached.
No long contracts or jargon. Just an honest plan built around your business.
Digital marketing cost in India: FAQ
How much does digital marketing cost for a small business in India?
With Thrillax, engagements start at ₹50,000 per month and scale up to ₹5,00,000 per month, based on your business, platforms, and goals. Ad spend is quoted separately.
Why do you start at ₹50,000 per month?
Real lead generation needs strategy, content or ad management, landing pages, tracking, and reporting. Below that budget, a channel can’t be run properly or measured honestly.
Do you offer fixed digital marketing packages?
No. We build the plan around your business and start with the one or two platforms most likely to produce leads for you.
Which platform should a small business start with?
It depends on where your buyers look: Google for people already searching for a solution, LinkedIn for B2B, Meta for consumer and local offers, and a mix when your buyers use several.
Can I start at the lower end and increase later?
Yes, and that is what we recommend. Prove one channel first, then scale what works.
Is ad spend included in the price?
No. Agency fees and ad spend are quoted separately so you can see exactly where your money goes.
How long before I see results?
Paid ads typically show first leads within 2 to 4 weeks. SEO and organic channels usually take 3 to 6 months.
Do I need a long-term contract?
We suggest a 6-month commitment to give a channel a fair test, with a clear review point. We don’t believe in long lock-ins.
